ma hai intenzione di forzare Narva ?? o di spostare le forze da nord al centro ed incunearti dietro il fronte centrale ? sarebbe una minaccia molto particolare che obbligherebbe il russo ad abbandonare Minsk senza combattere, credo. Io però direi che è meglio puntare Leningrado anche se è un'obbiettivo telefonato...

 

La logica direbbe di forzare prima Pskov per poi piombare alle spalle di Narva. Infatti le mie prime ricognizioni hanno identificato a Pskov circa il doppio di unità ripetto a Narva. La verità è che ora come ora la XVIII armata da sola non ha forze sufficienti per eseguire un attacco a Pskov e nel contempo tenere a bada i russi a nord.
Devo aspettare di poter sganciare unità dalla XVI, mentre dalla madrepatria si stanno muovendo 3 divisioni corazzate nuove di fabbrica e 4 divisioni di fanteria. Molto probabilmente le impegnerò su questo fronte ma ci vorranno ancora molti turni prima che siano impiegabili in prima linea.
Prossimo obbiettivo a breve termine qui sarà Tallin e finire di conquistare l'Estonia con le due basi sul Baltico per poter rivolgere tutte le risorse ad est.

Continua la preparazione per la conquista di Hango. In Carelia i Mig3 russi stanno facendo il buono e cattivo tempo, devo affrettare i tempi per l'invio di caccia tedeschi!

Visto la superiorità aerea russa ho deciso di richiamare le 3 divisioni finlandesi in Carelia, nei prossimi turni spiegherò i miei nuovi piani.

Un altro segnale preoccupante: in uno scontro a sud di Vilna ho perso molti caccia in un combattimento con dei MiG-3.
Ho subito cominciato un programma di aggiornamento di alcune squadriglie di Bf-109E-3 in Bf-109F-2, ma il loro numero non è sufficiente per tutti.

Terrò alcune unità armate con Bf-109E-3 con compiti di copertura nelle retrovie.

I russi stanno rafforzando Vyborg: bene perchè la mia strategia è quella di tagliarli la via di fuga verso Leningrado con un assalto delle divisioni che sto richiamando dalla Carelia. Successivamente le 3 divisioni impegnate ad Hango convergeranno su Vyborg per sfinire i russi intrappolati.
Conto di poter usare tutte le truppe di fanteria disponibili sulla costa perchè caduta Tallin avrò il dominio aereo sul golfo di Finlandia e potrò non preoccuparmi di sbarchi russi a sorpresa.

I corazzati sono alla periferia di Tallin, domani proverò l'attaco.

Giornata nera per la mia aviazione a Baranowitze. Molti stukas debolmente scortati hanno trovato ad aspettarli moltissimi Mig-3. Avevo ridotto i caccia di scorta per aggiornarli proprio ieri!!
I miei pochi caccia hanno fatto il possibile ma erano troppi i nemici: ho perso 24 aerei in poche ore . Complimenti a Gamma per la mossa.

Il motore del gioco riguardo le battaglie aeree è molto simile ad AE e quindi più realistico, come lo sviluppatore mi aveva assicurato.

Inoltre ho notato una flotta d'invasione russa salpata ieri da Sebastopoli. A Costanza ho spostato diversi bombardieri tedeschi per eseguire un attacco navale: se sbarcheranno sarà a caro prezzo.

Inoltre ho deciso di ritirare le truppe sopra Odessa: inutile intestardirsi e rischiare di essere insaccato. Domani diventerà operativo l'aeroporto di Kishinev, con cui cambiare il dominio dei cieli nella zona di Odessa.

Leningrado ora è veramente vicina! Ma non ci sono più russi intorno a Pskov ??

 

Si esatto, l'aviazione russa si sta comportando egreggiamente. Colpisce le mie prime linee e poi ritira le unità prima che io possa colpire i suoi aeroporti quando arrivano a tiro. Adesso a Nord tra Talinn e Tartu ho una discreta copertura, a sud tra poco potrò battermi alla pari. Il problema è al centro dove senza Rovno e Tarnopol sono veramente esposto a centinaia di suoi aerei.

Intorno a Pskov ci sono russi eccome, difetto solo di unità aeree recon: ho dato priorità a caccia e bombardieri. Comunque ho deciso di puntare su Pskov e non su Narva. Userò il terreno libero a sud di Pskov per una manovra ad ampio respiro: devo ancora però fare l'ssegnazione dei compiti, descriverò la mia idea nei prossimi turni.
Davanti Narva terrò solo due divisioni più una di riserva tra Pskov e Narva da usare dove dovesse esserci necessità.

Come temevo, questa mattina la flotta d'invasione russa si è avvicinata alle coste rumene. Avevo mandato una piccola TF ad intercettare il convoglio ma la flotta rumena non dispone di grandi mezzi nel Mar Nero ad eccezione di qualche vecchio cacciatorpediniere.

Unica consolazione, ho fatto perdere tempo prezioso alla flotta nemica quindi lo sbarco non è avvenuto nella notte. Il numero enorme di navi cargo e navi trasporto mi fa preoccupare, e non poco


Fortunatamente nel pomeriggio il bel tempo ha fatto alzare in volo i bombardieri tedeschi che avevo spostato a Costanza: i caccia rumeni si sono sacrificati contro i MIG-3 russi permettendo ai bombardieri di arrivare indisturbati a tiro delle navi.

Il numero delle bombe messe a segno non è esaltante rispetto al numero di aerei che hanno attaccato, inoltre nessuna delle navi colpite risulta affondata (solo 3 trasporti ). Lo sbarco quindi è avvenuto senza problemi ma sto già facendo convergere nella zona alcuen divisioni rumene tolte dall'offensiva su Odessa.

Le prime informazioni della recon dicono 3 unità per un totale di 6000 uomini, ma credo che il grosso delle truppe sia ancora sulle navi. Forse sono 3 divisioni al completo, quindi oltre 30.000 uomini.
Comunque vada, nel prossimo turno continuerò negli attacchi navali: dovrà comunque rifornirli e ho la possibilità di mettere fuori gioco molte cargo nemiche che così non potranno entrare in azione in un futuro assedio della Crimea, come invece avvenne storicamente.

Mi sono reso conto che il fronte tenuto dalla XVIII si è ampliato troppo per potermi permettere ulteriori avanzate. Anzi in certi punti se i russi cercassero di eseguire una controffensiva sarei nei guai per diversi turni!
Adesso il peso dell'offensiva passa alla XVI armata e IV Panzer più a sud: molte divisioni però hanno bisogno ancora di riposo e di riorganizzarsi.

E' continuato l'attacco alla flotta d'invasione russa: pesante il tributo pagato dai caccia rumeni. In due giorni di combattimenti le due squadriglie dotate di caccia IAR80B hanno perso il 70% degli effettivi!
Purtroppo il caccia IAR80B è l'unico a lungo raggio in dotazione all'Asse ma sia i piloti che le caratteristiche tecniche non sono le migliori per scontrarsi contro i Mig-3 russi.
Comunque oggi anche Gamma ha perso molti Mig-3 e speso che per domani la sua CAP sia meno presente:

Purtroppo nessuna nave nemica risulta affondata ma a fine giornata la recon mi dice che le truppe russe si stanno reimbarcando! Non so se è vero, nel frattempo due divisioni di fanteria ed una di cavalleria rumene stanno continuando a convergere in zona.



La piccola unità rumena che ieri aveva attraversato il fiume è stata ricacciata indietro: in questo settore sto ridispiegando lo schieramento per cercare di sfondare in più punti contemporaneamente.

Non è una gran bella situazione al sud, tutti quei trasporti probabilmente sono per fare avere numerosi rifornimenti alle truppe, in modo che possano resistere anche se circondate per diverso tempo.
Per il resto mi sembra che l'avanzata su Minsk proceda abbastanza bene, quello sarebbe un bel colpo.
Al Nord quindi intendi accerchiare Pskov da Sud e poi sfondare a Narva chiudendo la città? Intendi quindi continuare a proseguire su tre direttive principali? Credi di riuscire a mantenere questo sforzo o prima o poi non sarebbe meglio puntare a solo due obiettivi?

So che è presto, ma che obiettivi ti sei dato per l'inverno? Quali posizioni pensi siano più facilemente difendibili?

Riguardo la partita
Credo che la situazione a sud si sbloccherà non appena Rovno cadrà. Potrei tentare di prendere alle spalle Tarnopol e poi da li puntare su Kiev. A quel punto per Gamma sarebbe rischioso lasciare tutte quelle truppe sulla riva sinistra del Dnestr. Per ora cercherò di obbligare Gamma a spalmare le sue truppe su un fronte più ampio per poter cercare di sfondare più facilmente in più punti. Purtroppo le mie divisioni erano stanche e disorganizzate e anche se avevano attraversato il fiume Dnestr era impossibile riuscire a sfondare, non avevo altra scelta.
Sinceramente lo sbarco a nord di Costanza non me lo aspettavo: credo comunque che stia ritirando le truppe. Forse il suo piano era di intrappolare la XI armata tedesca e la IV rumena ancora inchiodate sulla riva sinistra quando ha fatto scattare l'operazione, ma il mio ritiro dovrebbe aver scombinato i suoi piani.
Ad ogni modo anche se non ho affondato nessuna nave, la sua flotta del Mar Nero sta subendo seri danni e molti trasporti saranno fuori gioco per parecchio. Sto gia pensando ad eventuali evacuazioni russe della Crimea .

Sul fronte nord sembro essere ancora in vantaggio numerico quindi cercherò di spingere in quel punto il più possibile. L'obbiettivo è quello di isolare Leningrado prima dell'inverno cercando di spingermi fino a Tivhkin e Demyansk dove svernare.
Nel centro/sud per come sono messo ora credo che sarei contento se arrivassi a conquistare Kursk e Rostov ma è ancora troppo presto per avere un'idea chiara.

Visto che le navi russe in ritirata erano oltre il raggio di copertura dei caccia tedeschi, ho deciso di lanciare i bombardieri contro Odessa. Prima di sera giunge notizia che un DD ed un AK russi, danneggiati dalla mia aviazione negli scorsi giorni, sono affondati sulla via per Sebastopoli.

 

Nota

Negli ultimi turni i russi hanno perso oltre 450 aerei ed ho notato una diminuzione del numero delle sortite. Credo dipenda dal fatto che ho qualche buon aeroporto da cui colpire le basi di partenza dei russi, quindi Gamma ha preferito svuotarli per non vedersi distrutti al suolo decine di apparecchi.
D'altro canto, l'incremento dell'attività di scorta e protezione ha provocato un uso pesante del pool di rimpiazzi, sopratutto del caccia Bf-109F-2.
Se questo trend continuerà sarò costretto a downgradare una squadriglia a Bf-109E-3 per recuperare qualche aereo da utilizzare come rimpiazzo: i Bf-109E-3 non sono più in produzione ma il pool è ancora consistente (oltre 250 apparecchi).
