    Ancora qualche turno per essere del tutto certo, ma credo di aver vinto la campagna in Cina con molti mesi di anticipo sul previsto.

    La cosa, per assurdo, mi crea problemi imprevisti: avevo immaginato di avere piu' tempo per addestrare i piloti di bomber in GndB e fare le costosissime conversioni da 1E a 2E. Invece, adesso mi trovo in una situazione bislacca col fronte nemico sfondato e assolutamente pochi PP e bomber in pool per effettuare gli upgrade.
    Ora, in se' per se' non ci sarebbe problema alcuno, ma il fatto e' che il ground support dato dai bomber inizia a farsi problematico a causa delle distanze.

    Col fronte di Chagnsha sfondato, ho anche una marea di truppe terrestri da comprare e mandare altrove, con larghissimo anticipo sulla mia timetable.


    La cattura di Noumea + Suva, indifendibili per Alleato, ha anche creato una simpatica situazione nel SoPac, dove sono in ritardo di una settimana precisa ma ho ottenuto una serie di vittorie schiaccianti che avranno pesanti ripercussioni strategiche di lungo periodo.



    Quindi, sto valutando l'idea di chiudere la Cina al volo ed attaccare i russi o la West Coast. L'unica preoccupazione e' la notoria scarsita' di genieri, cosa che sta limitando tutta l'infinita serie di lavori infrastrutturali in giro per la mappa. Cio', naturalmente, unito all'inesauribile fame di PP.
    Attaccare i russi o la West Coast richiederebbe un bel po' di lavoro preparatorio comunque. In termini industriali sono ok, dato che ho impostato la partita su linee non troppo dissimili e mi basterebbe produrre di piu' e prima cio' che intendo produrre. Il guaio e' semmai il dover fare un'inversione a U rispetto ai miei piani strategici iniziali.

    Ad ogni modo, Kaiser ha rallentato molto coi turni e settimana prossima si salta a pie' pari, quindi ho tempo per valutare ed analizzare la faccenda. Ammetto che l'attacco ai russi sferrato in un altro match dal mio avversario sul forum matrix ha stimolato la mia mai sopita voglia di fare le uniche due campagne che non ho mai fatto (URSS e West Coast).

    Beh, non credevo buttasse 350.000 e rotti cinesi dentro Changsha e se li facesse accerchiare. Sinceramente, la cosa mi ha sgomentato.

    Chiaro che il risultato netto e' per me positivo, ma ho da investire tempo nell'analizzare di nuovo la situazione e valutare gli sviluppi

    L'attacco alla West Coast, se di per sé è comunque interessante, a mio avviso rappresenta un serio problema per l'alleato e ne compromette definitivamente la partita.
    Se il jap sbarca e conquista Tacoma (mi pare sia questa la città ma non ne sono sicuro, comunque è irrilevante il nome), i cantieri navali vengono distrutti per sempre. Anche se dovesse riprendersi la città il turno successivo, avrebbe per sempre perso la costruzione di una trentina di CVE e altre dozzine e dozzine di navi e quant'altro. Anche a distanza, mettiamo, di un anno, nulla cambierebbe. Non tornano più. Non so se valga anche per le altre città, ho letto solo di questa città in quanto si è effettivamente verificato. Ma credo che il risultato sarebbe il medesimo anche in altre.
    Giusto che la produzione si interrompa per un periodo di tempo anche lungo, ma poi a distanza per esempio di un anno la produzione, almeno in parte, dovrebbe poter riprendere, simulando la riparazione dei cantieri. Invece nada.

    Ma ogni giocatore alleato prende e copre la base con le truppe [R] immediatamente. Io ho credo tipo 1,000AV gia' dopo 20 turni e forts in crescita. Basi d'accesso minate. Cannoni costieri nelle basi d'accesso. Aviazione e airsupport disponibili. Insomma, Portland e' coperta assai.

    Un alleato che si fa prendere Portland dopo 7 giorni dall'inizio delle ostilita' e' un alleato sprovveduto e si merita di perdere le CVE e la partita.
    Una volta che la cinquantina di CVE che arrivano a Portland sono kaputt, il match non e' ancora compromesso, ma senz'altro e' dura una vittoria decisiva alleata. Al piu', marginal vicotry. Cio' per il semplice motivo che avanzare diventa cosa laboriosa.

    In ogni caso io intenderei sbarcare al di sopra dell'attivazione dei rinforzi d'emergenza e bombardare le industrie per fare punti.

    L'eventualita' considerata e' che se un alleato si fa sbarcare a Portland e perde il posto, son cazzi suoi.

    Fondamentalmente, e' facilissimo difendere le location chiave degli USA (e del Canada), quindi se uno le perde, merita di perdere il match.
    Il gioco poi manco ti fa perdere direttamente, semplicemente ti crea grandi difficolta' in futuro.

    Esiste, ne sono sicuro perche' la lessi tempo fa, una dettagliata descrizione delle logiche che hanno guidato gli sviluppatori in questa direzione. Credo sia piu' che giusta.
    I mezzi per difendere la West Coast ed il Canada sono presenti al day-1 e via ferrovia ci si mette un amen a coprire ogni luogo sensibile. Idem con l'aviazione: e' facilissimo avere sufficiente preavviso.

    Si parlasse di sbarchi al turno 1, o magari durante la prima settimana di guerra, magari ci sarebbe da questionare perche' e' tecnicamente difficile (ma non impossibile) coprire Portland, Seattle, etcetc. in tale lasso di tempo.



    Uno sbarco, anche relativamente simbolico, in USA sarebbe stato impossibile ed il gioco lo modella bene: e' assolutamente impossibile svolgere una campagna sulla West Coast, ma e' possibile fare una spedizione kamikaze. Un giocatore un minimo minimo attento, pero', previene la cosa con grandissima facilita'.

    Dopo la "situazione" nel SOPAC i turni si sono diradati molto come puoi vedere dai CR che posto.

    Nello specifico però Kaiser è via per lavoro una settimana senza laptop.


    In compenso il mio match da alleato è una tragedia infinita e facciamo anche tanti turni (che mi prendono 2h l'uno...), quindi mantengo la dipendenza senza problemi.

    Le Filippine sono ok. Fondamentalmente, il dramma e' Java con Singapore caduta.
    Luzon e' utile per tenere impegnate divisioni unrestricted e niente piu': lui ha perlomeno 3 divisioni di fanteria in loco, quindi a me va bene cosi dato che il mio obbiettivo strategico e' raggiunto.


    Ora lui prendera' Singapore e la cosa gli apre lo Stretto di Malacca, creandomi un bel dilemma strategico visto che la mia attuale disposizione navale, imperniata su Giava, avra' da ritirarsi verso il Golfo del Bengala per non rischiare di venire tagliato fuori dal settore.

    Diciamo che non sono soddisfatto dell'attuale andamento della guerra, ma le DEI sono ok-ish. Lui oramai muove con flottoni copertissimi ed e' l'unico obbiettivo strategico relativamente rilevante che io possa ottenere. Fondamentalmente, a me va bene rallentarlo e costringerlo a muoversi cauto.
    Con la caduta di Singapore avra' anche il vantaggio di un grande porto per riparazioni e riarmare navi varie, cosa che attualmente gli e' impossibile per le BB (i CA li riarma dovunque e quindi vabbe').


    In definitiva, pero', il grande problema e' la Cina, dove ho giocato oggettivamente male commettendo un errore di valutazione notevole riguardo ad Ankang.

    Se il tuo obiettivo per Luzon è quello di tenerlo impegnato, dando per scontato che l'isola e l'intero sottosettore cadrà comunque, allora ok; sono curioso di vedere come evolve, perché lui è convinto d'aver fatto una gran cosa... Mha

    Non ho chiarissima la situazione tua su Singa e dintorni, ma per quanto niubbo io sia Singapore l'ho sempre visto come un obiettivo primario per i Jappi, e sempre veduta cadere; forse contavi di tenerla più a lungo.

    e bravo lui a cogliere l'occasione.

    Chiaramente il mio obbiettivo e' impegnare quante piu' risorse giapponesi possibile.
    Luzon non puo' reggere un assalto convinto.

    Per me, Singapore e' il target di gran lunga piu' importante dell'early game imperiale.
    Lui l'ha giocata bene, anche se tradizionalmente, e quindi la citta' cadra' a brevissimo.

    In linea generale, speravo di trattenerlo un poco di piu' nel settore, ma e' andato sorprendentemente leggero su Luzon e quindi non c'e' proprio speranza per Singers.

    Diciamo che per Alleato tenere Singapore fino a fine Gennaio '42 e' un game changer notevole se sa sfruttare la cosa.
    La caduta di Singapore e' un gran colpo per i giapponesi, che guadagnano un hub gigantesco e liberano dozzilioni di truppe per la fase due dell'espansione imperiale.
    Il problema per me e' che mi ritrovo con forze notevoli a Giava e rischio che me le tagli fuori muovendo da Singapore verso il Golfo del Bengala. A quel punto, posso certo ritirarmi senza problemi, ma non potrei contestare il suo movimento iniziale.

    Sostanzialmente, la caduta di Singapore apre le porte dell'inferno per gli alleati.
