    Le unità permanentemente ristrette in USA sono state schierate fra Canada e Seattle-Portland come solito.

    Sono molto preoccupato per il NoPac vista l'apertura su Midway, caduta subito. Dubito fortemente voglia muovere sulle Hawaii e credo invece intendesse negarmela per una campagna nel NoPac senza l'utilissima NavS di Midway.

    Sicuramente non l'ha presa tanto per: è bravo.


    I rinforzi iniziali americani me li scordo e vanno verso l'Australia. In linea di massima, dovrei riuscire in un 3-4 settimane ad avere un ottimo schieramento in loco.

    I cinesi vengono intanto airliftati fuori dalla Cina e si occupano della difesa dell'India. Il problema qui è riuscire a mantenere un collegamento fra Ledo e Calcutta, ma credo di potercela fare.


    La mia priorità è rafforzare l'Australia, dove credo sia possibile uno sfondamento in forze a breve. Con il setting giapponese per Singapore, invece, dubito di avere guai in India per almeno un paio di mesi buoni. Forse più. A quel punto la minaccia dovrebbe essere relativa.


    Il grosso delle LCU americane verranno sbloccate e dispiegate molto più in là, temo. Una divisione di fanteria americana con moltissimi devices non disponibili costa comunque sui 1.300PP, cioè 26 giorni di PP. Me la scordo prima di fine Marzo o addirittura fine Maggio.
    In compenso ci sono due divisioni di fanteria (24th e 25th) che partono praticamente pronte fra PH e la West Coast e, unite alla Amercal Infantry Division, dovrebbero essere più che sufficienti per rafforzare adeguatamente l'Australia.
    La NZ la do per persa in caso decidesse di investirla.

    Credo che le 3 US ID assieme agli indiani e agli australiani possano mettere in piedi una posizione solida in Australia. Il tutto, considerato che reggere ad una quindicina di divisioni imperiali è complicato ma non infattibile.

    Naturalmente il punto di tutto ciò non è bloccare il Giapponese, quanto costringerlo a concentrare forze per creare aperture altrove.

    Riuscire a tenere Burma, per dire, varrebbe la caduta di Australia e NZ. Posto chiaramente i VP non vadano fuori controllo (il 01/01/1944 sarebbe duro, ma il 01/01/1943 lo eviterei probabilmente). Il tutto si gioca sul riuscire a portare qualche milionata di supply a Sidney entro le prossime settimane, cosa del tutto improponibile ma comunque da tentare. Credo che con un 1.5M supply (e circa 0.5M prodotte/stockate nel mentre) io possa reggere perlomeno Sydney, negando una grande fonte di VP.
    Con Burma aperta, a quel punto, la guerra è vinta.

    Con la perdita delle CV i turni si sono estremamente rarefatti qui, in compenso il match da alleato sul forum matrix sono cazzi amarissimi.

    Mi sa che finisco per perdere la NZ. Il che farebbe ridere assai dopotutto.

    No, e' appena sbarcato e ha appena preso Rabaul. Abbiam fatto ora il turno 3 eh! Dagli un po' di tempo ahahah

    Anche il trio Gilbert (Nauru, Ocean e Tarawa) e' caduto.


    Per il resto, tutto tace nel Pacifico. La perdita cosi rapida di Wake secca. La perdita di Midway e' un grande problema nel breve termine a causa dell'apertura che crea sulle Aleutine, ma ho gia' perso anche loro quindi vabbe'.

    Non avendo mai perso le Aleutine, perché non me le hanno mai attaccate, secondo te a parte i vp strategicamente che minaccia rappresentano?
    Imho la NZ potrebbe essere un vantaggio a lungo andare se le attacca prima dell' area Sidney Melbourne.
    Più tempo per fortificati e più truppe nemiche lontano dal ventre molle alleato cioè India e Cina.
    Se sfruttando la rotta da CT nel mentre riesci a far arrivare 3 divisioni Usa e vari asset più le 2 australiane e la nz d'emergenza in India, non la conquista più e ti da il tempo di rinforzare e rifornire i cinesi con gli eventuali rinforzi d'emergenza australiani hai anche la forza per attaccarlo in birmania anzitempo

    Dunque. Con ordine.

    ALEUTINE

    Il problema non sono le Aleutine in sé, figuriamoci, quanto uno svantaggio notevole in termini strategici. Con le Aleutine in mani giapponesi è estremamente difficile minacciare l'area Kurili&co, cosa che, anche se non mi sogno di sfruttare, è sempre utile.
    In sostanza generano un'economia di forze notevolissima per il Giapponese. L'Alleato ha da impelagarsi in una campagna sfibrante e lenta nel settore ed è oggettivamente una rottura di coglioni.

    Anchorage è ottima sotto il profilo dei VP, mentre le altre basi non sono un granché. Muovere verso il Canada per fare bombardamenti strategici è possibile, ma non son per nulla persuaso sia una cosa plausibile se l'Alleato non si fa sfuggire di mano il match (posizionamento strategico orribile, CV perse, logistica pessima, etcetc).

    Il problema principale assieme alla mancata minaccia di Kurili&co è il fatto che prendere le Aleutine assieme a Midway crea un buco gigantesco nella NavS alleata e potenzialmente mette sotto pressione l'intera West Coast, dato che le CV giapponesi (e SCTF varie) possono passare tranquillamente da questo mega-buco. E' uno scenario abbastanza problematico, specie se uno è uso a fare mega-convogli come me. Se ti trovi la KB con una decina di CV/CVL e annesse scorte davanti a 300 xAK che fanno 12knts, c'è da ridere assai. Per il Giapponese naturalmente.

    Inoltre, le Aleutine diventano ottime basi per i sub se li fa operare vicino la West Coast. E' attualmente meglio prendere mettiamo Canton Island, ma le Aleutine aiutano assai se uno passa da NORD. Uno schiaffa un paio di AS cariche e fa operare una trentina di sub lì ed altrettanti da Canton Island e diventa una rottura di coglioni colossale, specie con i pressoché inesistenti asset ASW alleati di inizio guerra.

    Come ogni cosa, c'è naturalmente il modo di contrastare e limitare ciò. Un esempio è muovere i convogli da Los Angeles esclusivamente (io uso L.A. per le TK/AO dato che caricano velocemente lì e SF per il resto), andare a Panama e rientrare in mappa all'estremo SUD. Non è ottimale e si perdono circa 100hex di tragitto, ma tant'è..... L'esposizione LA - bordo mappa è minima ed è meglio evitare rischi. Da Channel Island, poi, è anche possibile sia mettere NavS un poco più ad OVEST che avere copertura ASW per il braccio di oceano fra LA/San Diego ed il bordo mappa (5-10hex di tragitto).

    100hex in più di tragitto a 5hex a turno, significa allungare di 20 giorni ogni convoglio in andata ed ogni convoglio in ritorno. Il che implica la necessità di un sealift maggiore verso l'Australia.


    Nuova Zelanda
    La NZ, così come il resto del SoPac, è una posizione debole. Il problema di base è che c'è da prendere un fracco di basi molti hex a EST oppure accettare che la suddetta NZ è e sempre sarà esposta ad un assalto dal mare con poco preavviso (gli Emily fanno 30hex in NavS e quando uno fa uno sbarco usa le navi veloci che fanno 9-10hex a turno).

    Il problema di base della NZ è che taglia via il Pacifico e dà un fracco di punti al Giapponese. Non è antitetica ad un impegno più che adeguato in Burma fra l'altro.
    Quindi, sì, è una rottura di coglioni.

    Inoltre, DesertWolf101 è un fenomeno dell'intelligence giapponese e quindi muovere convogli da Cape Town all'Australia diventerebbe un dramma. Senza contare l'estrema facilità con la quale si può tagliare anche tale rotta: Perth è oggettivamente indifendibile davanti ad uno sforzo convinto imperiale e dall'area Perth al bordo mappa (dove c'è il rettangolone con scritto "Gary Grigsby....") è facile da tenere sia sotto NavS che sotto pattuglia di superficie.

    Io ad esempio uso un piccolo distaccamento di Emily da Albany (28-29hex dall'angolo del rettangolo di cui sopra) ed un paio di AV coi Jake in NavS.
    Alleato può usare le CV per scortare i convogli, vero, ma non è un'ideona dato che A) l'unico asset col quale si può punire il giapponese in modo adeguato è fuori dai giochi per fare scortai ai convogli; B) il Giapponese mangia la foglia ed al secondo convoglio ti fa trovare la KB al gran completo e finisce in tragedia per l'Alleato (richiede però sviluppare il repair shipyard di Perth e portare un congruo numero di navi di supporto logistico nell'area).

    Quindi, sostanzialmente, l'Australia viene tagliata fuori. Diventa perciò vitale ed imperativo riuscire a portare quanta più roba possibile nel primo mese circa, così da poter tirare a campare per lungo tempo senza avere rinforzi.
    E' anche fattibile continuare a mandare blockade runners di 1 xAK verso la suddetta Australia, ma certamente non ci tiri avanti a lungo con tali piccoli rifornimenti. La benza diventa però un non-problema visto che presumibilmente non ci sono navi basate in Australia, ma solo sub. O perlomeno, le navi basate in Australia vengono affondate presto e quindi amen.

    In tutto ciò, il Giapponese è abbastanza esposto in alcuni settori della mappa, ma non in modo estremo. Sarebbe a dire che per mettiamo Aprile 1942, fine del bonus sbarchi, ha magari a disposizione 15 divisioni di fanteria.
    Con 6 divisioni tieni adeguatamente Burma ed hai una riserva strategica di 1-2 divisioni per le DEI.

    Le altre 9 le dispieghi a protezione di Perth (2 ID), area Birsbane (6 ID) e magari Suva o Noumea (1 ID). La NZ la difendi con magari delle brigate da 252AV in terreni vantaggiosi and that's it, tanto è impossibile sbarcarvi di sgamo per l'Alleato.

    Quindi, anche se uno rinforza in modo serio ed adeguato l'Australia inizialmente, ti trovi comunque con 5-6 divisioni Australiane, mettiamo 3 divisioni US Army ed una UK. Il che fa ottimisticamente 10 divisioni contro le 6 giapponesi. Il guaio è che non hai supplies per fare offensive sostenute, hai da tenere solide difese anche se avanzi e sopratutto sei in totale inferiorità aerea. Quindi magari hai anche un 6 divisioni di fanteria che avanzano, ma ne fronteggiano altrettante giapponesi che però se la giocano in difesa.





    Poi posto dell'ultimo turno con Kaiser che m'ha affondato la Kaga

    Non è un compito facile, ma considerando i rinforzi d'emergenza australiani che puoi portare in India, se il giappo va per il bersaglio grosso un margine per iniziare a disturbarlo in modo concreto in Birmania penso ci sia, anche perché se è sbilanciato nel settore di Oz non ha tante risorse per sbarcare alle spalle in India incubo di ogni pianificazione alleata in SE Asia
    Il resto è un gioco a rimpiattino tra CV e bloccate le sue divisioni pian piano puoi iniziare a riprendere il So Pac.
    Tu sei un giocatore eccelso, pianifichi in modo professionale e sei un maestro nella saturazione del bersaglio.
    In questa partita dovrai prima avete pazienza e prudenza

    La fai facile ahahah

    La possibilita' che mi spaventa e' che lui invada la NZ e da li' muova solo su Perth (indifendibile, fosse anche per cinque minuti) e sul N-E Australia fermandosi sopra la linea di attivazione dei rinforzi di emergenza.
    Da li' puo' tranquillamente iniziare a bombardare l'industria australiana e fare molte migliaia di punti che, uniti alla NZ e ad altre perdite in giro, rendono l'autovictory giapponese una possibilita'.


    Chiaramente io ho le mie idee... Credo che la soluzione migliore per gestire la cosa sia:
    1. Usare ogni asset navale disponibile per portare supplies, benza, AA e fanti in Australia nella finestra temporale dei primi 30-60 giorni;
    2. Mandare molti fighter in Australia ASAP;
    3. Preparare infrastrutture adeguate in Australia;
    4. Iniziare a creare una solidissima posizione nel Pacifico e da li' sviluppare un network di basi dopo l'altro cosi da poter avanzare senza copertura delle CV e con forze leggerissime;
    5. Vedi punto 4. per il NoPac: stessa prassi in loco;
    6. Mandare asset chiave (ARM e AA) in Cina finche' Burma e' ancora alleata;
    7. Creare una solida serie di basi in India per mettere sotto pressione Burma dalla meta' 1942;
    8. Rinunciare ad ogni velleita' di sbarco in NZ o in profondita' da qualunque parte e prepararsi a piccole avanzate fino a meta' 1944 (e quindi annessa logistica per sostenere cio');
    9. Una volta che Perth, N-E Australia e NZ sono cadute, reindirizzare il sealift verso l'India, dove ci sara' bisogno di milionate di supplies e fuel. Il resto invece avanza piano piano nel Pacifico (prima si sviluppano e difendono le Marchesi, poi Thaiti, etcetc);
    10. Le US CV disponibili nel 1942 (6) se la giocano o in coppia o in due gruppi da tre. Idealmente un gruppo agisce nel CenPac ed uno in India. Le CVE sono poche ed inutili, quindi non e' che ci sia molto da fare per loro.

    Questo e' il mio planning per arrivare alla fine del bonus sbarchi e possibilmente evitare di avere problemi di autovictory giapponese (al 01/01/1943 la vedo impossibile, al 01/01/1944 e' piu' plausibile parlarne).

    Una volta finito il bonus sbarchi, si puo' iniziare a ragionare di planning piu' complessi e meno specifici. Il fatto e' che durante il bonus sbarchi e' virtualmente impossibile riuscire a creare problemi al giapponese, dato che la mobilita' delle truppe imperiali e' sconcertante.

    Perche'? Contro Stefano son stato un anno e rotto senza far letteralmente nulla. Per pazientare so pazientare. Il problema e' che ha da pazientare chi e' in posizione di vantaggio, chi e' in posizione di svantaggio ha da agire.
    E' evidente: chi pazienta e' chi vuol mantere lo status quo, chi vuol cambiare lo status quo ha da muovere.

    Contro Stefano feci una cosa come 400 turni e rotti senza muovere da nessuna parte e mantenendo calma olimpica. Quando poi ha maldestramente mosso lui su Karachi e poi nell'area a SUD di essa, gli ho affondato tutto facendo un massacro (e con la KB manco coinvolta, sebbene in attesa ad 1 giorno di navigazione).

    Anche se non sembra, sono un giocatore estremamente paziente.

    Rispetto ai punti 1-10 aggiungo anche che e' molto difficile per Alleato tenere botta nel periodo del bonus sbarchi se non e' bravo ed il Giapponese lo e'.
    In sostanza, il Giapponese riesce ad ottenere posizioni dominanti velocemente e con relativa facilita', quindi Alleato ha i suoi bravi guai nell'avanzare dopo. In altri termini: e' molto facile per il Giapponese prendere una posizione dominante come Suva ed e' poi difficile per l'Alleato riuscire a riprenderla nel '42. Il che implica che ogni posizione persa nei primi mesi di guerra e' da tenere sott'occhio perche' dura da recuperare.


    Cosa non indifferente e' che il Giapponese mantiene facilmente l'iniziativa fino a meta' 1943 se non e' un fesso, quindi non c'e' da scherzare da alleati. A parita' di skill, direi che fino a Novembre 1942 - Febbraio 1943 l'iniziativa e' giapponese.

    Finito il bonus sbarchi, la situazione si riequilibra e si apre il vero match per l'Alleato (il quale chiaramente ha da pianificare per la fine dle bonus sbarchi prima che esso effettivamente finisca).

    Nel grande schema delle cose, quindi, Alleato ha grossomodo cinque obbiettivi per i primi mesi di bonus sbarchi:
    1. preservare le CV facendo training piloti serio nel mentre
    2. evitare perdite catastrofiche in Cina
    3. evitare di perdere posizioni chiave che compromettono poi il mid early-game (f.ex. perdere Calcutta e Celyon).
    4. creare una logistica sostenibile e sulla quale poter fare leverage
    5. rallentare il Giapponese il piu' possibile


    Il mio problema col buon DesertWolf101 e' naturalmente il fatto che lui sa perfettamente quanto di cui sopra e cerchera' di forzarmi in situazioni complesse.

    Imho se il Jappo le punta facendo in fretta Singer e Java, per quanto l' alleato sia bravo, Ceylon sicuramente e Calcutta quasi, non sono difendibili, forse Calcutta con l'aiuto dei cinesi ma è una strada che non ho mai percorso finora
    Nelle tue valutazioni strategiche, molto puntuali, particolareggiate e quasi sempre condivisibili lo dimostri piuttosto chiaramente.
    Gli altri 4 punti sono la bibbia dell' approccio alleato.
    Molti AAR nel forum Matrix indicano invece chiaramente quanto possa essere pagante una difesa aggressiva, con le navi di superficie, scordarsi le CV, ma dare battaglia con Ca Cl e DD può portare ad ottimi risultati

    Sono daccordo con @Prostetnico

    Midway è un discreto problema. In sé per sé è totalmente inutile, vero, ma se fa parte di un posizionamento strategico di più ampio respiro, le cose cambiano.
    Il fatto è che Midway:
    1. Nega agli alleati un'ottima piattaforma per NavS
    2. Dona ai giapponesi tale ottima piattaforma
    3. Protegge, in termini di NavS, il fianco meridionale delle Aleutine, cosa molto importante perché rende la direttrice d'attacco alleata prevedibile e decisamente lineare (EST => OVEST), creando grandissime (gigantesche) economie di forze per gli imperiali
    4. Gli Emily hanno extended range = 30 e da Midway può fare recon su PH, monitorando le attività alleate in loco
    5. Mette in sicurezza Wake, base molto utile agli alleati, rendendone la cattura un affare complesso e fuori portata
    6. Crea la possibilità per forze di superficie varie di muovere fra la West Coast e PH senza essere spottate
    7. Crea la possibilità di muovere da una direttrice SUD-OVEST verso NORD-EST per sfondare manovre alleate nelle Aleutine anche di piccolo conto

    Ora, in sé per sé nessuno dei punti di cui sopra è un gran guaio, eccetto il 3. Il 3. è decisivo infatti. Con Midway giapponese, l'Alleato è in una posizione del cazzo rispetto alle Aleutine e la cosa è molto importante. I punti 6. e 7. sono anch'essi rilevanti ma gestibili.


    Il grande, grandissimo, punto interrogativo (per ora) comunque è l'investimento fatto su Midway da parte del giapponese. Se sviluppa il dot accanto e quello qualche hex a SUD-EST, diventa una posizione molesta da affrontare. Se tiene solo Midway invece è proponibile riprenderla a metà 1942 con uno sbarco ben concepito.
    Quindi, sì, è un problema grosso ma può essere gestito in tempo così da non consentire al giapponese di sfruttarne a pieno l'utilità.

    Diciamo che se rimanesse giapponese fino al 1943, sarebbe un guaio enorme. Le migliaia di AV e le centiania di genieri solitamente investiti nelle Kurili&co, sarebbero risparmiati ed usati altrove. Uguale per una difesa in profondità delle Aleutine, dove generalmente si è molto esposti a manovre da, appunto, Midway.

    Se invece viene prima neutralizzata e poi infine ripresa nel 1942, non è un gran problema dato che impatta minimamente sulle Aleutine e si può, scomodamente, gestire il rischio di raiders che passano fra West Coast e PH. I sub possono essere a loro volta gestiti con un'assennata campagna di bombardamenti sul porto per eliminare le AS. Rifornimenti possibili, ma si può gestire anche tale eventualità con una semplice campagna di bombardamento sul porto quando si vedono mercantili in arrivo.
    AF di Midway consente di stanziarvi molti a/c e quindi diventa un poco complicato fare tali manovre ma niente che non si superi con un'avanzata assennata da PH.



    La mia visione è di iniziare a sviluppare i dot che portano a Midway e poi, da lì, muovere su Midway medesima dopo averla bombardata a sufficienza ed isolata con sub e aerei.

    Non avrei saputo argomentare meglio di @ITAK_Linus.
    Il fatto è che Midway per quanto insignificante, da una parte restringe in maniera drastica il "campo libero" per l'alleato dall'altra da ad un giapponese agressivo opzioni altrimenti precluse.
    Tutto il settore nord in pratica è sotto l'occhio del sol levante, PH è potenzialmente minacciata e alleato imho non ha molte alternative se non quella di riprendersela quanto prima e questa, come ogni mossa telefonata, può essere molto pericolosa.

    Se poi in termini di SIGINT l'avversario è davvero così abile...

    Poi oh, io a AE non sono nemmeno un mezzo mozzo, magari tu vedi cose che a me nemmeno passan o per la testa ecco.
