    Nel senso: Broome è una base inutile a ovest di Darwin. L'unica altra base che ho fra essa e Soerabaja è... Soerabaja. Non ho catturato nulla, né fatto recon né azioni di disturbo nemmeno nelle DEI meridionali per avere il fattore sorpresa.

    Uno sbarco di due snlf del cazzo li non crea allarmismo nemmeno ad un paranoico e mentre marcio con 10 divisioni in giro per Giava uno non può pensare che sto invadendo la dannata Australia.

    Fra l'altro ho pure ritardato la cattura di Batavia a lungo apposta (idem per Palembang) per dare l'idea di un tempo più lento di quanto sia nelle mie operazioni.


    Ora ho da rifare daccapo la mia strategia di base dato che il fattore sorpresa era tutto. Un incubo.

    Ora andrò in India di volata facendo uno sbarco diversivo in Australia del nord tipo in zona Darwin per continuare a molestare alleato ma boh sinceramente non so che dire.


    Sono sicuramente l'ultimo degli stronzi ma so che di sicuro senza sapere che andavo in Australia diretto, Perth per di più, nessuno avrebbe mai supposto ciò. È totalmente fuori da ogni logica e ho fatto in modo fosse così.


    Credo che fermerò la scrittura di AAR ad libitum.

    Imo ragioni troppo, ti fai troppi film con pochi input che ricevi.
    Ci sta che sbarcando in australia l'alleato si aspetti una tua futura operatività nel settore, è normale.
    Semmai sfruttala, ti ho già spiegato come

    Concordo! Fossi in Patton lo considererei come il primo di una serie di sbarchi altrimenti non riuscirei mai a spiegarmi il motivo di uno sbarco, seppur piccolo ed apparentemente inutile, sulle coste Australiane.
    Inoltre la tua strategia iniziale di isolamento del continente australe mi porterebbe a pensare che il prossimo passo sia proprio l'Australia. Questi sarebbero i miei ragionamenti da inesperto.

    Cioè come pensi che avrebbe reagito lo Stato Maggiore degli Alleati (inglesi, americani, australiani) se i giapponesi fossero sbarcati e avessero conquistato una piccola cittadina nel nord dell'Australia? E' ovvio che presto o tardi si sarebbero aspettati lo sbarco in forze.
    Penso che Patton, avendo poi a che fare con un avversario preparato ed imprevedibile come lo sei tu, abbia pensato questo.

    Ma te l'ho detto ci credo benissimo che non sia trapelato nulla da voi fedeli ed esperti lettori. Sono solo sgomento che 2 SNLF facciano pensare ciò. Che io marci sull'australia è logico dato il mio inizio ma che inizi tutto coi due SNLF è assurdo. A questo punto mi valeva non sbarcare direttamente.


    Ora ho iniziato la preparazione per l'India e dovrei sbarcare in una settimana / dieci giorni. Il dramma è che è tardissimo per i miei standard e ho uno schieramento balordissimo.



    Non discuto l'aspettarselo, quanto l'imminenza di ciò a seguito di due SNLF a Broome.

    Secondo me il discorso è semplice, sei un giocatore capace ed esperto e veder attaccare lembi di terra sconosciuti porta sempre la paura del "ommioddio mi sta sbarcando a...".
    Oppure, come dice paolot, sei solo stato vittima di un immenso bluff.

    Domanda: perchè sei sbarcato nella insignificante Broome? Dal motivo dello sbarco puoi immaginare cosa stia pensando lui.

    IL CAPOLAVORO
    Naturalmente, miei cari lettori, non ero impazzito e non dubitavo di alcuno di voi.

    La mia e' stata una gigantesca maskirovska per sviare eventuali commentatori nell'AAR di Patton e/o lasciare il dubbio su una mia follia.


    Oggi, 27 Gennaio 1942, sono infatti sbarcato in quello che era il mio obbiettivo dal 7 Dicembre: PORT AUGUSTA.

    Per molti di voi non dira' nulla, ma e' l'hex chiave dell'Australia. E' infatti il terminal orientale della ferrovia che collega l'area di Perth con l'area di Sidney and co. Non ci sono altri terminal nel mezzo. Catturandolo, sostanzialmente, sigillo le numerose forze australiane che Patton ha inviato in zona Perth dove ho effettuato una serie di operazioni per distrarlo e attirarlo in loco.

    Il viaggio e' stato epico: da Soerabaja per circa 150 hex ho navigato in acque sconosciute per arrivare in zona e non farmi vedere da eventuali Catalina. Navi da battaglia, incrociatori di ogni tipo e una marea di navi varie sono in loco. Assieme a 3 Divisioni di fanteria, air support, artiglieria e tank. E benza. E supplies.
    Il nemico ha una base aerea a difesa della base, pare.

    Allah e' davvero grandissimo.

    Con la cattura di Port Augusta, dunque, sigillo l'area EST dell'Australia e intrappolo l'esercito australiano in zona Perth, zona povera di industrie (no supplies per i poveri figli di puttana), di pianura e con poche infrastrutture e basi.

    Distruggo l'esercito australiano e nel mentre ho decisamente sgombere le aree moleste del Queensland e del New South Wales. Sono gia' sbarcato anche a Normanton, inutile base a NORD-OVEST dell'area di Townsville.

    Grazie! Ci siam fermati per le ferie di Patton ma le cose procedono anche se per ora a singhiozzo. Credo che dal 20 al 30 Settembre ci sara' un'altra pausa perche' sono via a godermi un poco di relax prima del dispiegamento (il 29 Settembre).



    Il match e' appassionante ma vista la mia vita disastrata e cause varie, siamo andati un po' a rilento fin qui. Spero che nei prossimi mesi si possa accelerare.


    Con lo sbarco a Port Augusta, comunque, le cose si chiariscono e per un po' di tempo sara' routine: anche se ci sara' da ballare assai in Australia, il destino di Australia e Nuova Zelanda e' oramai segnato.

    Ho un'idea diversa dell'andare a rilento...
    Complimenti per il periplo senza intoppi, non è sempre scontato anche quando hai una bella superiorità. Vediamo se riuscirà ad impantanarti o meno, le poche strade di molte zone dell'Australia possono essere un pro ed un contro.

    La situazione al 27 Gennaio 1942:

    In realtà credo Alleato a questo punto possa fare poco. Nel Pacifico ho la KB libera da impegni di sorta e posso punire ogni sua iniziativa. In Birmania può contrattaccare ovviamente ma rischia di farsi massacrare le poche truppe a disposizione per guadagni marginali: le squadre di fanteria sono poche, i devices pure e certamente non può ottenere la superiorità aerea.

    Con l'Australia persa, credo la mossa più ragionevole per lui sia di premere in Birmania e metter su già ora le infrastrutture per un radioso futuro nel settore.


    Sinceramente non ho idea di come reagirei al suo posto. Ci ho pensato a lungo e credo che la cosa più sensata per lui sia cercare di evacuare le truppe in area Perth prendendosi il rischio di una traversata via nave verso offmap per nulla facile. Con questo in mente, ho organizzato le mie azioni per cercare di ridurre la sua capacità di carico affondando o facendo fuggire i mercantili inizialmente in Australia: al 7 Dicembre le mie CV colpirono Manila e dopo un lungo e periglioso viaggio raggiunsero Noumea per supportare le operazioni nell'area. Un importante elemento dell'azione era in realtà lo strike su Sidney per far fuori i mercantili. Lo strike fu deludente ma almeno convinsi Alleato ad evacuare le navi dall'Australia.
    Altro elemento è stato recentemente il gruppo di azioni navali davanti alla costa di Perth, anch'esse mirate ad eliminare o far fuggire navi alleate dall'area.

    Sicuramente Alleato ha a disposizione mercantili per far fuggire le sue truppe, ma credo di avergli reso la strada impervia già ora. Senza contare che il mare davanti a Perth è sotto il mio controllo.



    Una controffensiva nel Pacifico è invece plausibile ma non avrebbe molto senso. Se colpisce un elemento per me strategico, ci metto un amen a concentrare KB e far affluire rinforzi per sterminare i suoi. Se colpisce un punto non nevralgico rischia asset strategici per nulla.
    Il fatto che la KB sia libera da ogni impegno è l'elemento chiave: se la KB infatti fosse necessaria in qualche operazione, sarei scoperto. Ora come ora invece posso fare il bello e il cattivo tempo dato che le mie operazioni non richiedono la KB per avere successo.




    In tutto ciò, fra l'altro, il fronte cinese è in una situazione precaria e ho giusto ieri accerchiato oltre 20 LCU cinesi nell'area di Loyang. Sono un'ottima aliquota del sistema difensivo cinese a protezione di Sian: sfondare Sian rapidamente e senza troppe perdite sarebbe davvero un bel colpo. Altre decine di migliaia di cinesi stanno venendo accerchiati e distrutti in giro fra HK e Shangai.

    Presto la Cina crollerà e dovrò decidere se imbarcarmi nella lunga e difficile conquista di Chungking o se più tranquillamente mi accontenterò di neutralizzare la minaccia cinese e iniziare a trasferire via dalla Cina dozzine di truppe per altri fronti. La campagna su Sian e la campagna su Changsha sono decisive: vittorie rapide e relativamente poco costose mi permetterebbero un tentativo su Chungking abbastanza plausibile. Se le cose dovessero protrarsi troppo a lungo, invece, credo che ritirerò molti AV dalla Cina per altri fronti.
